First day program
10 :00 am : After having breakfast, free pick up from hotel/riad in a comfortable air conditioned bus .
-The tour starts with the oldest & largest Royal palace gate which been made in 14th century by marble copper and mosaic.
-A stop by The Mellah « Jewish quarter » (built in 1438) near the royal palace in order to protect jews from the wrath of muslim populations.
The mellah of fes in which inhabited only by jews, was the first mellah in Morocco.
Visit Ibn Danan Synagogue : « one of the ancient synagogues in north africa » (oldest synagogue in fes) in which built by Mimoun Ben Sidan a wealthy merchant from ait Ishaq in 17th century, the clarity of building will definitly amaze you with its wooden ceiling and plaster coated constructions.
The Ibn Danan Synagogue has been added to 1996 world monuments watch list and fund.
– Visit Janan Sabil Garden to enjoy the fresh air befor watching the north tower « Borj » & Bab boujloud « boujloud gate ».
– Ceramic school : known for its handmade pottery, you will be astonished by the fascinating products, moreover you will have the chance to meet local artisans.

– Madrassa « School » Bou Inania : Established in ( AD1351-56) by Abu Inan Faris, it’s widely recognized as an outstanding example of Marinid architecture.
In addition its role as an institutional establishment of scholars education.
It has a magnificient silo construction, decoration and water clock technique.
-Chowara or tannery : the biggest ancient fascinating tannery in Africa, in order to see the spacious leather array and workers who use only natural colors to produce a high quality leather.
Visit museum, Mausoleum & Madrassa
-Nejjarine : The wooden crafts museum. Housed in 18th century. It is one of the main places for merchants to restore their goods, everything is amazingly varied and beautifelly prisented, such as musical instruments, Berber locks, prayer beads and the huge courtyard in the middle of the museum.
You will definitely enjoy your time being amazed by the wonderful sights.
-karawiyin university : one of the most leading spiritual and educational centers of the muslim world, moreover it is considered one of the oldest continuously operating institution of higher learning in the world. « Founded in 859 ».
-Attarine Madrassa : known for its arabic calligraphy in the entrance, the beautiful fountain in the courtyard.
Furthermore the place is fully ornamented with moroccan zellij and marble, and the big wooden doors.
-Moulay Idriss mausoleum : A zawya (shrine) the tomb of moulay idriss 2nd, who ruled morocco from 807 to 828 and founded fez the second time in 808.
-Mausoleum or Zawya Sidi Ahmed Tijani : that holds the tomb of 18th century Sufi Shaykh, founder of the Tijaniyya order. The zawya show a street facade highly ornamented with carved wood, stucco, and amazing glazed tile.
