Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Leaving Marrakech in the morning and after picking you up wherever you are we will leave for Ouarzazate. On the way we will cross the Atlas through the amazing port Tizi n’Tichka, 2,260 meters high. Shortly after crossing the Atlas we will take a track to visit the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouet. Passing through various Berber villages we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, an incredible fortified city over 800 years old. In her films like Gladiator or the Kingdom of the Skies have been filmed. At the end of the visits we will go to Ouarzazate, where you can visit the film studios. Here we will spend the first night.

Day 2: Ouarzazate – Agdez – Draa Valley – Tazarine – Mharech Gorges (Dakar trail)

After breakfast and visiting the Kasbah Taourirt, we will depart in the direction of Zagora crossing the mountains of the Anti Atlas and passing through the port of Tizi n Tinifift, at 1,600 meters high. Entering the Draa Valley along a track we will see various Berber villages and kasbahs inside. Leaving behind the N’kob, Tarazine and Alnif villages, we will take another track that crosses lost villages until we reach the Mharech Gorges. Many of these sections are those that are covered during the Dakar Rally. We will end the day sleeping in a riad in the middle of nowhere.

Day 3: Mharech – Oasis Ramlia – Dunes of Ouzina – Merzouga

Continuing along the Dakar Rally track we will cross more lonely villages, we will cross Uadis (dry channels), oases and the Ouzina dunes. Following the route we will visit the well-known town of Khamlia, a descendant of the slaves who arrived from Africa, and you can enjoy its amazing folk music. From Khamlia we will take the road towards Erg Chebbi, the highest dunes in Morocco. On the back of camels we will go to the camp located in the middle of the dunes, an hour and a half away. We will sleep in a real Berber haima.

Day 4: Merzourga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

After seeing the amazing sunrise in the desert we will take the camels again to return to “civilization.” We will stop at a hotel so you can shower and refresh (depending on the type of camp, breakfast and shower can be before the camel ride). Once cleared, we will leave in the direction of Rissani, origin of the Alauí dynasty and the first imperial city of Morocco. We will take the road in the direction of Erfoud, rich in black stone and marine fossils (if you want, we can stop at a fossil factory) and we will arrive at the Palmeral de Tafilalet. We will visit the Todra Gorges and arrive at the Dades Valley, where we will spend the fourth night.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Skoura – Marrakech

Leaving the Dades Valley behind the “Thousand Kasbahs” route, we will pass through the amazing Valley of Roses and reach the palm grove of Skoura, where the most famous kasbah in the area is located.
